I'm 35 weeks pregnant and unsure about my due date.? |
According to my doctor, I am due on October 22, and my last menstrual period was Jan. 15.. putting my date of conception on Jan. 29. However, I know that i had sex on the 15th (and wasn't on my period, mind you), but remember having a period only a couple of days after that. I also am sure I had sex on Jan 29. (my boyfriend and i were extremely active). My ultrasounds, fundal height, abdominal examinations, and fetal heart tones all seem to go along with the October 22nd due date. However, is it possible that I may have gotten pregnant during that romp on Jan 15, and even then had a period a couple of days later? That is a two week difference in due dates. If it helps, I did not have a period on Jan 1st, which is when i would have had to have a period in order to ovulate on Jan 15. My last period before that was mid December. I'm concerned with this because my doctor seems to not really pay much attention when i try to point out these details. I'm assuming he's not alarmed. I know you are ready to get this over with, but your baby will come when it's ready. A due date is just a round about figure. As you get closer, ask your doctor if you can have a bit of "help" meaning there is a procedure called stripping the membranes. After this, and trust me, if the baby is ready it will work, have sex, make sure your man's secrections stay in there. Hold your legs up in the air, if you can, as the semen has the very hormone in it that is naturally secreted by your body when in labor. I am no dr, but they say that you baby can be 2 weeks "early" and not be any problems. My first son was due Feb 15 and came Feb 21, my second son was due Jan 8-I kept telling them that he would be here before that but they were telling me that no, they thought I would be having him PAST my due date. Well, he was here on the 2nd of January-I was in labor since the 31st. |

I can't quote figures but it's rare. What is more common is constant worry throughout the pregnancy about whether everything is ok. If I could reassure you completely about this you would... Hello. Do not worry yet. Sometimes it can take up to 8-12 weeks to hear the babies heart beat. I know its easier said than done, but dont stress out about it. Stress can make you have a miscarriage... its best to talk to a docter about it ...First of all, a fetal echo is not a risky procedure. It's just an ultrasound done by a pediatric cardiologist looking only at the heart. It does expose the fetus to more radiation, which is ... |
