For well educated adults in pregnancy...? |
i was wondering what are the chances of fetal death after the 5 month? i just had an ultrasound of them and everything was good, they were growing the same but it is my first preg. and i just worry that everything is ok because i cant exactly see whats going on in there all the time. can anyone help me not worry so much and just be calm.. I can't quote figures but it's rare. What is more common is constant worry throughout the pregnancy about whether everything is ok. If I could reassure you completely about this you would find something else to worry about. I think this is about the maternal instinct so difficult to fight nature very low the first 12 weeks is the more risky time, relax you have had a scan and everything is OK stress is no good in pregnancy look at all the positive things happening in your pregnancy You are worried and that is perfectly normal, I had my first baby six months ago. I was in and out of the hospital all through my pregnancy and I`m telling the technology these days is amazing! i had my first baby last year and i worried from the moment i found out. It's normal to worry and nothing anyone can say can really put your mind to rest until you have your baby in your arms. If you've had your routine scans and the experts say everything is ok then you are better informed than most women in the world who are having children today. At least we have the technology to listen to the fetal heartbeat at every antenatal appointment. This was always reassuring for me. Can you feel your baby move? I used to drink a sugary drink if i hadn't felt much movement - but all babies are different. You are more than half way through now aswell! If i can give you any advice it would be to try and enjoy every day you have your baby inside of you because you will miss it so much once he or she is here. Try to enjoy it, try to rest and go to all your appointments. If anything unusual crops up you'll be in safe hands and so will your baby, but by 5 months i'd say you are on the home straight. Good luck your fears are normal for a first time mum, don't worry they will fade as your pregnancy progresses. While it is true that anxiety can have an adverse effect on pregnancy it would have to be sustained and very severe for the entire pregnancy to have an affect on your baby, no woman spends their entire pregnancy on cloud 9 without a care in the world. Babies dying after the fifth month is rare but I can't lie and say it does not happen, chances are, if there was anything to worry about they would have picked it up on the scan and warned you that there was a problem. I think the only thing you can do is think positive! when you feel the doom feelings about your little one turn it around and tell yourself 'my baby is healthy' and visualize yourself with your baby in your arms. Read pregnancy books and really inform yourself of what is happening to your body! it is such an amazing and fascinating process for your body to go through. Talk about your fears with your husband/partner or even your mum! mum's can be a great source of support during pregnancy, afterall they went through it all with us! We all worry during pregnancy but as time goes on and the pregnancy becomes more established the worries fade more and more because you will have a sense the baby is becoming stronger and you feel more secure in your pregnancy. Because we can't have a look in there when ever we want it's easy to let the imagination take over and start worrying, but put your faith and trust in the medical care you are recieving and inform yourself of symptoms and conditions that can occur in pregancy and you will be armed with the best things to help your baby if a problem did arise. Take care and good luck with your pregnancy I am sure you will be holding a happy and healthy baby in your arms in about four months. xxx I am 23.5 weeks and am being monitored as a precaution due to some minor things arising during my scans, but I tell myself everyday that my baby is well, and he is strong and kicking all of the time so I know in my heart he will be with me soon, healthy, happy and gorgeous. Ver, VERY low. Don't worry. don't worry its perfectly normal to be worried with your first pregnancy, hey hun well congrats dont worry about anything ur body would tell you if something was wrong u would get pains there apart of your body so u will no but dont worry enjoy being pregnant i did if u feel them move and kick around then if there is a time when u dont feel any movement at all for a day then u should go to hospatial but u have got nothing to worry about it will be fine enjoy Yay!! Heres a option....go to argos (or the equivilent if in the states) and buy a doppler for 拢30 that way you can listen to the babys heartbeat every night and be reassured that all is well. I have heard that they are safe for continual use....says that on the box. Goodluck and hope this helps x |

Hello. Do not worry yet. Sometimes it can take up to 8-12 weeks to hear the babies heart beat. I know its easier said than done, but dont stress out about it. Stress can make you have a miscarriage... its best to talk to a docter about it ...First of all, a fetal echo is not a risky procedure. It's just an ultrasound done by a pediatric cardiologist looking only at the heart. It does expose the fetus to more radiation, which is ... |
