To all people who knows FAS and ARND? |
Whats the difference between FAS (Fetal alcohol syndrome) and Fetal alcohol syndrom refers to birth defects seen in children exposed to alcohol. The term at first only refered to the actual physical defects seen (specifically defects of the top lip, the groove betwen th etop lip and the nose and the width between the eyes). It later came to include developmental difficulties seen. ARND is a newer term and refers only to the neurological defects/ problems and not the facial or growth ones. |
