Fertility, clomid? |
Hi. I've been dealing with fertility issues for over a year now. Last April 05 my gyno performed a laproscopy on me where they removed adhesions and scar tissue (the scar tissue was blocking me fallopian tubes), she believed that after this surgery I would finally be able to become pregnant in fact she almost guarnteed it. She said she ran dye through my system and everything was open. Almost a year later i'm still not pregnant, my periods are the worst because I find myself lying in bed 24/7 crying. The doctors are now wanting to put me on clomid, i've heard a little on the drug, but I want to know if anyone on here has taken it, what were your side affects, did you become pregnant, how long did it take, was the baby ok, did you have multiples, was your situation similiar to mine. If you didnt take clomid but overcame a fertility issue i'd also like to know how. I had the laproscopy April 2006 not 2005 I struggled with infertility for almost three years, it is very emotional and I wish you the best. I also had the dye test and was otherwise healthy. Clomid is a drug that is used most often. Some women experience weight gain, some women do get pregnant and some dont. I took clomid two months in a row and then I decided to get off of it. My husband came up on orders to go to Iraq so we quit trying. After not taking it for 2 months I got pregnant with twins. I did not gain any weight with the pill. I did have the same problem that you had. I had all those test done on me too. My friend also had the same problems as us but she had been trying to conceive for 5 years. She was on clomid and got pregnant with twins after the second dose. I started to try to get pregnant in the fall of 1998. I had the same things done as you did and then was put on clomid. I tried 5 cycles of clomid and then my doctor told me that at this point in time that I probably wont get pregnant without the help of more extreme measures and that I should look into adoption. I was already pregnant for about 2 weeks when they told me that. My pregnancy was complicated from the start. The baby ended up having something called cystic hygroma with fetal hydrops. The pregnancy ended with a stillbirth at 24 weeks and I delivered my daughter and three months later I got pregnant again without the help of clomid. After I had my son who was perfectly healthy, I got pregnant very quickly three more times and delivered all healthy boys. I had 4 boys and then had my tubes tied. I believe that some of my problem was psycological. I ate, slept and lived for getting pregnant. After I thought I couldn't get pregnant I was and then after that point I couldnt stop getting pregnant. Also I was overweight and needed to loose weight to help my bodies sed rate. |
