Ovarian Cysts......and fertility?

can ovarian cysts affect your fertility????
Please answer this if u know 4 sure

I get ovarian cysts a few times a year. This fortunately hasnt affected my fertility. I get pregnant pretty easily(we joke that if I stand next to a man I get pregnant)

But each person would be different. If you have PCOS that does affect your fertility. Getting an occasional cyst or cysts shouldnt. But if you think that its affecting your fertility then you might want to make an appointment with your gyno.

Yes. Do you just have one or two cysts or have you been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome? A lot of women with PCOS have difficulty conceiving...

Normal ovarian cysts do not cause any harm to your fertility. However, if they are persistent and regular then you may have a serious condition that could affect your fertility. Speak with your doctor and get it checked out. If you do have PCOS then there are drugs that can assist you with conceiving. Good luck!

Yes, it will be difficult to get pregnant. They told my mom (who has PCOS) that it would be quite difficult for her to get pregnant. But she did the first time that they didn't use protection, so the doctor called me a real miracle. And it has been shown that PCOS is genetic, so I'm going to have problems getting pregnant, too.

The reason the cysts cause infertility is because the cyst is the egg that comes out of your ovary, but gets stuck on the outside. Therefore, the egg cannot travel down the fallopian tube to meet the sperm, because it doesn't even get into the fallopian tubes.

But this doesn't mean that ALL of your eggs will get stuck. That's why it's just a decrease in fertility and it's not impossible to get pregnant, because there are still some that so leave.
