Fainting???

I have this thing where every time i get a kind of shot or needle in my skin, i faint. i'm not afraid of needles, i'm usually relaxed. any smart or experienced person know why???

A small percentage of people have an exaggerated vasovagal reaction. What this means is that certain stimuli cause the vagus nerve to over react, which creates a crash in blood pressure, which causes fainting. This is what happens when somebody faints at the sight of blood, except in your case, the stimulus is getting stuck by needles.

That would be my first guess.

There may be some reaction in your skin that is causing it. Have you talked to your doctor about this? And how long have you been experiencing this? Nerves in your body are sending signal to your brain, and it may be telling your brain that "Hey this hurts so much, were all passing out". When you get a shot or a needle, does it hurt a lot? You may be relaxed, but it may hurt so much, that your body will, instead of you screaming with pain, you will faint. This has never happened to me, yet i am SUPER good in science, and i've talked to my doctor about this, and i know someone who has had this problem.
