Fainting...passing out...?

Ok so i have been passing out, blacking out, fainting, getting week like often and its freakin me out. In spanish i walked into class and got really weak and just passed out. I thought it was just b/c i didnt have breakfast but then a week later on a camping trip i was sitting in the cabin with a bunch of people and i fell out of the chair and started breathing really fast and heavy and i couldnt hold myself up or anything but i had eatin a lot that day and i was eating at the time...I know i need to go see a doctor but has this ever happened to anyone else. Before i go to the doctor is there anyone that has any idea what it may be. Those wernt the first times it has ever happened its been happening to me for like 2 years off an on...

This sounds like hypoglycemia. Passing out while eating food (and after eating a fair amount) is a pretty good clue. Just to rule out a prediabetic situation, i would ask for a fasting blood sugar and a chem panel (CBC IV) to rule out anemia, even though you seem absent of the traditional symptoms - unless of course you have developed excessive unrination or thirst or bruising that doesn't seem to heal. Hope this helps.

It could be low blood sugar. Not eating the right things, regularly, can do it. High altitude (where were you elevation wise when you were camping), can do it too.

Check out www.hufa.org, because it is what you eat, not if you are eating. Ask for a 6-hour glucose tolerance test and a fasting blood insulin test, too.

yes.....I have had this exact same thing happen to me last year. I got looked at for seizures and it came back negative. The key question and I am being serious is when you passed out did you lose bladder control? This is the key between fainting and a really serious problem.....if you pass out and lose bladder control then you have a neurological issue that could be serious...if not then chances are it could be as simple as sugar level in your bloodstream / insulin. Either way a drop in blood pressure is what causes blackouts.....the question is what caused the drop. Go to WEBMD.COM and look up the following key words one at a time. FAINTING, SEIZURE, BLOOD PRESSURE.

SEE A DOCTOR no matter what.....best of luck !

Could you have an eating disorder?

Take this test and find out:

If you qualify go to this website:

That happened to me once... && a second time almost..
It happens for skipping breakfast. Ever since that happened to me I started eating breakfast regularly. No matter how late I got to school, I needed to eat breakfast. It can also happen if you use too much energy without eating. So start eating breakfast because that's an awful feeling.
