Sever PMS and fainting spells?

Beginning this year, I have had terrible PMS symptoms. I have sever dizzy spells, severe nausea, fainting spells and loosing of consciousness for a little bit. I have had many doctors visits and I am becoming very frustrated because it's like I become disabled for like one week. Every month since January has been the same, severe headaches accompanied by vomiting and loss of appetite and eventually fainting. My doctor put me on birth control pills and so far they are not working.
I have already been tested for anemia, diabetes, and heart conditions but all tests came up negative.

I'm not sure about infertility, I'm only 19 and I've never had sex.

HELP!

spells omg what the heck

Try taking a pre-natal vitamin. Maybe your body is lacking some really important nutrients....

I agree, take some vitamins.. because I fainted a LOT almost every morning when I was vegan.

Its probable any med u have taken in the past making your symptoms worse. Try to use natural remedies like honey, lemon, garlic etc. I personally use essence of merck - lape and dried boom-slang skin but I'm not sure that muggles can get hold of them.

There is this severe form of PMS called PMDD, but I can't remember what it stands for. There are commercials for a birth control pill that will help called Yaz, so I'm sure you've heard of it. If not, there is a beautiful invention called GOOGLE.

Ask your doctor about PMDD, and he or she will help you figure out if you have PMDD and if you should be taking medicine to help it.

Some girls really have it bad when its that time of the month... unfortunately you and I are one of those few! My cramps were really bad ever since I've had my period (11) but have lessen a bit at 19 (I'm now 20). Every time I would get it, it was like a cycle getting stomach cramps, then getting dizzy, then having to vomit, then passing out for a bit.. imagine that EVERY month for 8 almost 9 years! The doctors put me on birth control as well which I did find to be helpful because it reduced a lot of those symptoms - nausea, fainting spells, really REALLY bad cramps, etc. The only problem with birth control was my schedule was really crazy and I didn't remember to take them every day at the same time.

Anyway, after a while I was really getting annoyed by the fact that I had to be bedridden when it was that time. So tried to plan out when exactly when I was going to get it and was literally prepared. I brought with me Midol wherever I went, or extra strength ibuprofen to help reduce the cramping. Also I exercised when I knew I was going to get it the following week. They say that exercising can delay or shorten your period (which I found to be not 100% true) but it did keep my mind of my cramps, lessen my cramp -even by walking back and forth, drinking a lot of water so that I wasn't getting dehydrated and getting nauseas - helped a lot. I also bought this herbal pack/ herbal pillow that you can put over your stomach to help sooth the pain away.

I knew that my period was irregular because I never knew anyone who had terrible symptoms as I did. At 19 I had to go to the hospital because I had a ruptured cyst. Cysts are common in women, they form during ovulation then disappears but at times they just stay and grow in your ovaries. They're also more common in women who have irregular period, thus the severe cramps and symptoms. After that whole incident I felt that my symptoms had seized but then again I might have grown out of it.

As for infertility... it's a complex subject - some women don't even know they're infertile because they don't get any warning signs or symptoms, while others will know because they've had surgeries where their ovaries had to be taken out because of cysts... so I don't think you have to worry about that.

Just make sure you fill your doctor in on everything- if the pills are working, if it's become more irregular, etc. ANYTHING that you may think is worth informing, let them know so that they can give you other medications or ways of dealing with it!

The obituary of Dr Katherina Dalton the GP who coined the term 'premenstrual syndrome' in 1953, then set up the first clinic to treat PMS and ran it for 40 years
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk... Is is worth reading ... she had some of your symptoms.

You may have hormone imbalance which may be due to worrying about the phase of your life you are going through or the effects of the synthetic hormones in the birth control pills

This takes you to the part of the page regarding stress

This takes you to the part of the page regarding saliva testing and why it is preferable since it checks the active hormone rather than the spent ones

if you have look at Miriam Brazel's list all your symptoms are on it.

I would rely on a saliva test to confirm the requirement for progesterone or any other hormones.

Search the web for 鈥渘atural progesterone pms鈥?and you will come across pages such as this

When your hormone balance is better you and your body will be happier. All the best

You could be low iron only when your period occurs. You can usually tell this with other symptoms like feeling cold all the time. You can try to eat more leafy green vegetables, red meats, liver, oatmeal and raisins when you feel like this they are quick boost to help your iron level.
