Does anyone know about fainting spells? |
My daughter is 14, she has had 5 or 6 fainting spells in the last month and a half, she complains that her head is hurting, and then her vision goes blurry, then she faints.. She is not unconcios for mor the 1 min. She does have a slight asthma condition, witch she takes her inhailer as needed also her nebulizer as needed. Ok, i do have an appointment set up for tomorrow,, last time i went there for the same thing they checked her for sugar related issues, but found nothing. im asking cause i want some insite before i goto the doctors tomorrow she needs to see a Dr,but it sounds like she may be anaemic and needs some iron If she is fainting that much, consult a doctor. You need to take her to a doctor and possibly get a referral for an MRI. She could have something as simple as migraines, or it could be much worse. see a doctor i do the same thing and mine was do to anxiety attack.i too have breathing problems from time to time (acute broncitus) and im hypoglycemic...opposite of diebetis i faint when my sugar crashes as well id check with doc! Fainting, head hurting, and vision going blurry are all things that can be cause by migraines. You need to take your to a doctor right away and have her tested for it. Have your tell you how bad the headaches are and where it starts in her head like behind an eye or at the temple. But 1st thing is to take her in, please do not wait. I have been fainting and having blurry/double vision since 5th grade so it has been 11 years and I was not diagnosed with the migraines that have been causing them for me until i was in 11th grade because my parents wouldn't take me in. There are many possible reasons for these fainting spells. She might be getting too dehydrated, too exhausted or too overheated. There are also more serious things like tumors affecting certain parts of the brain. My neighbor went through a certain type of brain cancer. The signs were bad headaches and he would sometimes pass out. He is fine now and has completely recovered. I'm sorry if I freaked you out. I am just trying to give a well rounded answer. I don't think you should be asking this on the internet. There is definitely something wrong and you daughter could get hurt when she falls. Go get her checked, please! Please take her to see the doctor as Soon as Possible...insist on MRI and look information about something called "vasovagal syncopes" although is a rare condition is out there and the best physician to contact is a cardiologist together with a neurologist...do this promptly because like another reader said she could get seriously hurt on one of her spells... |
