Conscious fainting?

today i pased out but it wasnt "normal" fainting i could still hear what was going on but i couldnt move any part of my body. i felt a tingiling burning pain in my back and head does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I had something similar to this two years ago, it happened two or three times in one night, and felt as if i couldn't breathe or move - very frightening, and a huge relief when the next breath did come.

It was associated with what I took to be a virus, which lasted about 3 days.

Probably I should have seen a doctor - my advice would be to do just that - or call NHS Direct, they may be able to advise you, though they will most probably tell you to see a doctor anyway.

I feel quite reassured that others have experienced something similar to what I had felt, as most of my friends didn't really believe me - so I hope it's some reassurance to you that it's not just you alone that's had this kind of experience.

Best of luck.

You need proper medical advice.

Sweetie, there are too many possiblities and we don't know your general health. Go and see your doctor. It may just be a one off - no biggie - but it's always better to be safe than sorry!
