Im having fainting episodes due to some kind of heart probleme and i always have a low blood pressure? |
iv been fainting since i was 15 and they told me i wasnt having seizures cause i went for testing but when i pass out i cant move for a while after i wake up cause i feel all my energy is drained and i cant talk.i also notice that my heart is real eratic and skips a beat like every 5-10 beats. See a good cardiologist and have the doc perform MRI and other tests. Irregular heart beats indicates arrhythmia. The fainting and/or dizziness (if any) is related to low blood pressure. I agree with Halo, see a cardiologist. I don't know how old you are now or how long it's been happening, but you don't want that to happen if you drive or something. The longer it goes the harder it might be to treat. You'll probably have to have some tests, heart ultrasound, ekg, mri, holter monitor, etc. It may be something simple to correct like blood pressure meds, something to speed up the pressure, your heart could be beating irregular because of the low pressure, not enough blood reaching the heart. Doesn't look like a heart condition. this does sound like an arrhythmia. an EKG may be able to pick it up or an event monitor that u wear for 1 month and then record in your diary whenever you feel something then someone correlates what your heart was doing at the time you felt something. Sounds like 'Stokes-Adams' syndrome (hope the name itslef doesn't give u another such symptom). What happens in this condition is that the heart doesn't beat for 3 seconds or more, which can result in decreased supply of blood (& hence, oxygen) to the brain. Yes, it is a kind of arrhythmia, and u should get an ECG (EKG) done. Also, note if such episodes occur when u bend ur neck, or if there is any MILD pressure over the side of ur neck, say, while shaving. Take care. I'm no doctor, but i had this problem too. Turned out to be a heart valve problem that can be treated with medication. Seeing a cardiologist can either confirm or rule this out. If your heart beat is erratic, then, yes, i would highly recommend seeing a cardiologist. see a cardiologist pronto! low blood pressure and irregular heart beat can cause the fainting. you need a cardiac work-up to determine what the cause of the heart trouble is. electrophysiology studies as well |
