Cause of strange fainting spells??

I have been having strange spells for the last few years in which the following happens: I suddenly experience gray vision, lose the ability to tell where I am or what is happening, make strange involuntary rhythmic movements and sounds ( according to witnesses) and sometimes end up fainting . As I am coming to, I experience short-term memory loss and am extremely confused/disoriented. I went to the Dr.'s and was told that I might have non-epileptic attack disorder because of my PTSD. I didn't believe him then but now I'm wondering... could that be it, or is something else causing this?

YOU SHOULD GET A SECOND OPINION ESPECIALLY ABOUT SEIZURES, TUMORS.

I had those when i was in high school. i still feel slightly dizzy sometimes but never actually blacking out. I didn't eat breakfast that's. your body needs the energy or else you will get low blood sugar and pass out. and if you do eat breakfast maybe you aren't eating fruits like you are supposed to. try foods high in potassium.

I had to look up PTSD to find out it meant Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Did your doctor do any tests like an MRI or blood tests? I would go see another doctor or ask for more testing to diagnose your illness. Since this has been going on for years you need to find out what is wrong with you. A person I'm acquainted with had an illness called narcolepsy but that seemed to be more like they were asleep on their feet. They couldn't talk for a while, just blinked a lot. Doesn't sound like what you have. Good luck finding out what is going on with your health.
