How can a teenage girl reverse her hormonal imbalance? |
a 16-year-old girl suffered an eating disorder. then her menstruation was unstable. later, she's always depressed, sad, headache, fatigue, easily hurt(feelings) etc. her social life became worse when she gradually had facial hair especially above her lips (kind of a mustache) . her hair became thick (all over her body-well,mostly)she became more depressed and cried nearly everyday, she ate little but still gain weight. somehow, she found out that she might suffer a hormonal imbalance. because she got most of the symptoms. yea,,everyone got hair all over the face, the problem is when it gets thicker and more obvious, hey a GIRL with mustache is so not normal. imagine how disturbing/annoying n humiliating it can be when every time we talk to someone, his/her eyes kept looking at the 'mustache'. this kind of situation really worsen the verbal skills.and it's really bad. The best thing i can suggest is go 2 your docs and ask him 2 put u on the pill that will help with your periods which in turn will help your mood swings and the fact that your depressed might be due to you putting on weight even when your not eating much, that wont help if u start to eat properly u will start to feel alot better in yourself. get more energy, make u feel normal again but u must start eating n sleeping right. that might be why your feeling so low is cos ur not getting enough sleep n your energy levels are very low. as for the hair on the top of the lip everyone gets it don't matter what age or race u are, u just learn to deal with it n get some sort of method 2 help with hair removal. try not 2 worry about it its cos ur so down that it probably gets to you so much. ask at the doc's 2 c if he/ she can help with your hormone imbalance. hope this helps take care. you have to visit a gynae, im going through the same and im visiting a gynaecologist, it's helpful, you can't do it on your own If facial hair is the real problem, then the answer is to start shaving. Because of anorexia, low body fat. Fat keeps you warm, it's insulation. Your body is growing hair to keep you warm. You need antidepressants and talk therapy. Please get help. Anorexia can cause major electrolyte imbalances. Seek help of doctor. Good luck and God bless. I must say it sounds like the symptoms of anorexia...you really must speak with your doctor about this but.... |
