I have a social disorder? |
i really wish i wasnt true but i have to accept that i am. I know its SAD (social anxiety disorder). For some reason i cant make eye contact with anyone and for some reason in class i tend to cover my face because i feel like everyones looking at me. I also feel like im losing facial expression and that its kinda hard for me to make a normal face. i wasnt like this last school year and i fear im changing. i felt so nervous in the lunch the first day of school. and i dont know why. Im a pretty good looking guy so people do look at me quite alot and that makes it worse. i wish i could be normal again. i hate being nervous like everyday because i can never enjoy myself like i used to. Have you tried marijuana? This time I'm serious! If it doesn't help with your problem at least people will just think you're a paranoid pothead. Here's the obvious...have you sought treatment? That is, talk therapy and/or medication? so what's the question? sounds like you need to go to therapy. Get counseling before it gets worse. what the hell happend??? thats not a disorder. thats just no confidence and very low self esteem. i'm the same way. i have a very hard time getting friends. It's time to see a doctor/psychologist before your problem gets worse. Take care of it now so you can get some relief from the situation. It sounds as though you are very much in touch with what you are feeling. Please, please tell your mom (or other guardian) about this. Don't wait until it causes a big problem in your life. There is help. You just have to seek it... and I don't mean on Yahoo Answers. It may be your imagination or you may need to see a doctor, You may just have a tik! Like sometimes I feel like I've winked at some one but it's just a tik! how old are u first....i am 25 years old now. and i went through a period in my life that i did this when i was growing up. i really felt the same way u did...try going to a physician with these feelings. i did and he saved my life...its called paxil If you're afraid of the dark, you must go and stand in the dark until you are no longer afraid. If you fear small rooms, then put yourself in a small room and breath. SAD is Seasonal Affective Disorder, don't know what you're on about, mate. Why don't you go for some hypno-therapy or self-esteem classes. Think about the reasons why you may be feeling like this--what is your home life like? Do your parents fight? (Or are you from a broken home), is there alcohol or drug abuse in the family, have you moved house recently, has someone close to passed away, are you being abused? It sounds to me like you're trying to hide yourself from the world, subconsciously. There IS a reason for it, you need to dig deep to find it. Good luck!! You should defiantly discuss this with a physician. Some other ideas is try to put yourself in situations with a group start out small then slowly make the groups size larger. I know this is hard to do so having a doctor helping along with this is the best course of action. I don't agree that is is a low self esteem issue as you said you are good looking. Good Luck. Don't try marijuana or any illegal drug, it will only destroy your brain, it will hurt your family and maybe lose it. It certainly sounds like an anxiety disorder. My friend has one. You really should get some help, before it gets any worse. The anxiety of having people looking at you is making you obsess about what your face looks like etc. It sounds like something happened over the summer that led you to be nervous around people and when you started school it snowballed on you. It's nothing to be embarrassed over, but you should get some help fast while it is in it's begining stages. If your parents aren't your best source for help then go to the school counselor. But, do it right away, before the snowball effect makes this bigger than it already is........... Good Luck Maybe it's not a disorder, maybe you just are lacking in confidence. The best advice I can give you is to get counciling and see a therapist. You are a pretty good lucking guy!!!!! keep that in mind. Social disorder might be caused by an unbalance in brain麓s neurotrasmiters. Medicines can help with this. But you have to ask the doctor for a recipe. Besides that you have to change your way of thinking, every time you start overanalising stop! I don't believe it's no confidence. I have experianced the same thing, and people think it's because you think they are better than you and so overwhelmingly great and that is why you are nervous. But in reality those thoughts don't even have time to run through your head. It is just an inability to relax, and not be nervous because you would like to remain calm which triggers an obsessive inability to so it's like a mental block of sorts. The word confidence is often used incorrectly in my opinion. An example of no confidence would be thinking you can't accomplish something because you can never be good enough despite the fact it may not be an unreasonable goal. Your problem has to do with seratonin levels, and other chemicals in your brain. There are solutions such as taking your vitamins, eating properly, exercising for a couple of months and see if it gets better and if not then try medication. |
