Adult screaming disorder?

My next door neighboor is a 30+ year old woman who frequently screams. It is a scream that seems to be almost of panic, and happens frequently, almost on a daily basis. Initially I thought that she was in trouble, but due to the frequency of it, and seeing her do it in public, I realize it must be some disroder. It seems as if she has scream attacks, where she will scream several times in a short period of time. I have seen her do this outside, and it is accompanied of facial distortions. What is this?

If you dont know, please dont guess. I want to read serious comments that may be accurate. Any further information needed I can add as I know, but I think I listed it all.
It is more serious than a psychological state like depression or anxiety... my guess is that it is physiological.

Tourette鈥檚 Disorder - may be diagnosed when a person exhibits both multiple motor and one or more vocal tics over the period of a year, with no more than three consecutive tic-free months. Tics would be the women screaming and the motor would be her faces. There are no true treatments to this though there is sometime an option of removing the portion of the brain that is causing it. Very rare. The disorder is actually becoming more and more common. It is 100% out of this womens control.

she might just have a mental disorder like depression or anxiety/panic attacks that prompts her to do this..as if screaming is like her defense mechanism for the angst she is feeling inside

Is she bi-polar or autistic???? She might have anxiety or maybe shes just a weirdo

Could be Tourettes Syndrom

Is anyone smacking her when she does this?

Smacking her upsiode the head and screaming "SHUT UP YOU CRAZY ******" might just be what she needs

It sounds like it could be a form of Turret's Syndrome.

Dear god you're a lucky person living next door to her, aren't you? Sorry, it sounds like a nightmare. I would imagine she needs intensive psychological help to learn how to act with this disorder, drugs to stop the urge to scream, find out the source of the outbursts. Could be Tourette's, could be a lot of things. She needs a neurological evaluation, it's series of tests: EEG, CT scan, Q&A with neurologist, etc. Best of luck with that.

I think it is tourettes disorder also
