Might have an infection in my eye because of contact wear. Why are my eyes tearing puss?

I am having problems with my eyes. I wear night and day monthly contacts. I seem to be getting irritation in the eye after a 2-3 days wear of my contacts. Whats funny is that only one of the eye gets irritated at a time. One day my left I will have problems, the next day it might be my right eye. Some of the symptoms of my irritated eye is redness, cloudiness(only when where contacts, but clear vision when wearing glass), tearing (smells like pus), and when i take of the contact for the irritated eye, my eye burns alot for a couple of minutes and then feels normal. I have tried wearing glasses for a week and put eye drops in my eye but when I put in my contacts after a week I still get the same symptoms. Also when my eye gets irritated, my contact of the irritated eye sticks behind my eyelid and moves up and down with the eyelid.
What is weird is that it only happens to one eye at a time, NEVER both eyes.
Please help

The problem is obviously with your contacts. I would stop wearing them until you can get to an opthamologist. I'd also stop putting anything into your eyes like eye drops. If you aren't having any of these symptoms when you wear your glasses, you can probably rule out any infections, such as conjuctivitis (pink eye.) Maybe you're allergic to the material your contacts are made of or even the solution you use with them.

My advice is to make an appointment with your doc as soon as possible, because this obviously isn't normal. You shouldn't be able to feel the contacts once they're in. And definitely stop wearing them until you can see a professional.

Hope you feel better soon!

You need to leave your contacts out and see an eye doc ASAP. You could be doing pernament damage by letting this go untreated. Take you contacts out and go see an eye doc and don't wear any contacts until you have been cleared by the eye doc.

You need to go to an eye doctor immediately. Your vision is not something to mess around with.

Go to the eye doctor now! Do not wear your contacts and seek help now, eye infections become dangerous if left untreated.
Do not wear drops untlil you see a doctor, you might worsen the problem.

as everyone else has already said it do you want me to repete it? You need to get in and see your eye dr ASAP. I had problems with my contacts and then worked in a sign shop. My contacts absorbed the fumes in the air and when I took a nap that night my eyes became very infected and I still can not wear them and have some vision loss. Don't play around with your eyesight!

Sounds like you might be allergic or something. Go to an eye doctor, he might tell you better what is going on.

2 weeks ago I though I had an eye infection too, as I am also a contact wearer and my eyes were red and discharging. I stopped wearing my lenses and my sight was clearer. I finally went to the Doc and he said I had a bad sinus infection that was causing it. When you think about it, your eyes are so close to your sinuses and they are quite usually affected. I was put on antibiotics and it went away in a couple days.
