Will you have eye problems if you wear only one contact? |
I wear contacts and one of them tore and my glasses are ugly to so i have only been wearing one contact. I'm getting another one soon but I want to know if I'll have eye problems if I wear only one contact for the next 4 or 5 days? No, but you might get headaches. What will happen is the eye with the contact in it will become the dominant eye (because that's the one you'll see clearly with) and the other eye will have less input into your vision. For a few days, it shouldn't make too much difference, but don't do it too long or your non-dominant eye will become weaker. you will get dizzy Honey, I've been a mono-fit for years (I only wear one contact lens). It's been a common practice for years and years. The only thing you might experience is difficulty with depth perception. When driving, however, do us all a favor. Put aside your vanity and put on your glasses. Judgment between distances is crucial when driving. No because if only one of your eyes needs one. Or only one eye needs the perscription then you should be absolutely fine. it may cause discomfort--it really depends on what your prescription is. it won't hurt your eyes, but you may have discomfort due to one eye clear and other eye blurry and loss of depth perception depending on your prescription. I would advise against driving with that situation |
