Can I wear glasses after laser eye sugery?

I had lasek eye surgery done about 4 years ago. My eyes were at a -12.75 in my right eye and -11.25 in my left eye. The surgery brought me all the way back to 20/20! I starting to notice I can't see distance that well anymore and am having headaches a lot. I really do not want to go back under the laser, once was enough. Is it okay to wear glasses or even contacts after the surgery??

I have been reading up on the surgery and it is only there to enhance your vision and not necessarily make it perfect, so glasses & contacts may be necessary. You have to talk to your eye doctor about this.....

Yes on glasses, not sure on contacts

Ask your optometrist, Einstein.

why don't you talk to an eye care professional? I'm sure you can wear either glasses or contacts, but you really need to see an optometrist for that decision.

This is the wrong place for that question honey, ask your doctor

Why don麓t you go to the ophtalmolgist first and have your eyes checked? Start with the simplest. Go to the doc that operated you and tell what's going on. You just can't wear glasses or contacts if you don't know what's really going on, plus you just had them operated. Have them checked and take it from there.

The obvious answer is "Go see your Othomologist". He is the guy that will advise you correctly. The last thing you want is ill advice off of this site.
Go see him/her ASAP

That is so funny because I am going through the same thing right now. Had the surgury 3 years ago and I find now I am getting alot of head aches and I am just not seeing well (especially when shopping).
For sure you can wear glasses again. Like I plan to do go and get your eyes checked by a reputable doc.

Good luck.

ask ur doc what kind of lasek surgery you underwent and tell him about ur problems and he'll tell u the right way

I had a laser eye surgery too. You should advice your doctor and hope everything gets well for you.

forte myopia is a progressive disease - your eye will probably not stop to grow -that means you could need glasses again, contact lenses may be inappropriate because of dry eye caused by the past laser treatment-see your eye specialist-I'm also one but that is all I can tell you from that distance
