Can I wear contacts in only one eye? |
Basically one of my eyes were getting very red recently and my eye doctor said that I should not wear contacts in that eye for a few days. I don't want to wear my glasses so do you think it is possible to wear contacts in only one eye? The problem is that my eyes need very strong contacts/glasses, so if I had only a contact lens in one eye, it would be really weird because one eye could see clearly and the other is extremely blurry. Is this bad for my brain or eyes if I only had a contact len in one eye? Is it possible? Please DO NOT wear your contact lenses in either eye if even one of your eye is red. yes you if you can were it in two eyes you can were it one well the thing is if you wear one contact for one of your eye your other eye wont be able to see and that would become very annoying, I say you should try those hydroclear contacts were there is more mosture that gets into the eye through the contact. if that doesnt work then your could probably just take out your contacts and use some eye drops and then put it back in, I know my cousin does that like every 3 hours just so that her eyes dont get red. OK, when I was about 18, the same thing happened to me, or I think I lost one, and had to wait for the new one to come in. I went to work/school (can't remember which,) and I wore only one. It's a strange feeling, depending on how bad your eyes are..mine are pretty bad. It almost makes you dizzy...but it didn't really hurt me. You just have to decide that you can handle it..and just do it, if you must. I am now at the age where I would wear glasses in a minute if I had to, but I've been where you are,and it had no bad effect on me. Good luck sweetie! yes its bad for your brain lol i used to work at eye dr office...i'm surprised your dr told you to wear 1 contact.if there is a lot of correction in your prescription,it will cause you to get headaches if you only wear one lens.the dr i used to work for would tell you to wear your glasses for a few days to give your eyes a break! |
