How do i get rid of a sty on my eye, and can i wear contacts if i have one? |
i got this sty in my left eye - probably because of stress... Sounds like you have either a hordeolum (likely red + painful) or a chalazion (non tender and kind of hard to the touch). Warm compressess and gentle lid massage are a great first line treatment. Additionally, lid hygiene or lid scrubs can help clean out clogged pores on the lid margin. Depending on whether or not we're dealing with a hordeolum or chalazion, the treatment can differ. Tougher hordeolums can be treated with oral antibiotics, tougher chalazions can be treated with a steroid injection. take a warm warm washcloth hold to your eye daily and no you can't put a contact in it will get very very sore pull the eyelash out where the stye is,then wash eye out with tepid water.I dont think there is anything you can do to prevent sty's other than looking after your health. You should talk to your optician about lenses. |
