Should I wear contacts before my annual eye exam? |
I have an appointment for the eye doctor today, and i was wondering if it was ok to wear my contacts today. Will it screw my eyes up before the exam or something? Unless you are having problems with the contacts, it is usually better for you to wear your contacts to the eye exam (especially if you are wanting to be re-fitted for contacts). This way, your eye doctor can see how your contacts are fitting and make sure there are no further problems. If you for some reason don't want to wear them to your appointment, at least bring them along. Err, if your in doubt, don't do it then.. I don't think there should be a problem though. Whenever you go for a eye exam you should not wear contacts. Only wear glasses for your eye exams. This is necessary. Leave them out for a day or two, but have them ready to put in. |
