After having pink eye, how long should you wait before you wear contacts again?

I have what I think is bacterial pink eye. I first got it last week, used the drops for a few days and it cleared completely. Then I put my contacts back in and my eye went all red again. So I haven't worn contacts for 3 days and the drops have almost completely cleared up the redness again. How long should I wait after the redness completely goes away before wearing contacts again??

DON'T use the same contacts. Replace your contacts with a new pair, and I would say you should wait at least a week after the redness goes away (just to make sure there isn't any more bacteria left in your eye for it to happen again), but you should probably ask your doctor.

Check with your doctor. You should definitely wait until all signs of the infection are gone and you have finished the drops.

you cant use the same contacts. throw them away and get a new pair.
