12 year old eye injury need advice?

My son is 12 years old and whilst playing football at school during his lunch break he got a wet football kicked in his eye which was 4 hours ago.
He is complaining of foggy vision and says that colours dont quite look right! The eye appears to be blood shot and very slightly swollen on the eyelid. I am in a dilema as to what to do whether or not he needs to see a doctor or not???
Thanks to all who answer.

take him to the doctor now. this sounds like a emergency. his eyesight could be at risk.

Yes take him to the doctor he could have a scratched cornea and it can get infected. An opthmologist can check it out.

take him to the er, eyes are nothing to mess arround with an just blow off

Too risky to risk it.. To the ER..
