Eye injury with car bag deployment?

wearing contacts or glasses

Are you asking if it can happen? Yes. Imagine getting smacked with a 100mph pillow. Air bag deployments have broken people's wrists and arm because of the force of their deployment. If you are wearing glasses they will be moved around by the airbag. Hopefully they will move up your face and not into your eyes, but it can happen.

If you have soft contacts or gas-permeable, you should not have any additional danger from the airbag moving a contact. If you have hard contacts, you may have an increased risk of damage, but I don't know how much more. It would be pretty difficult to test this.

All of that said, it is still preferred to eating the steering wheel during an accident!

Good luck and try not to get slammed in the face with any 100 mph pillows!
