How can I fix a crossed eye or lazy eye?

I'm blind in one eye from an injury several months ago. I had a detached retina and had to have surgery to fix it.

My eye healed great and looks normal, but its blind now and has become crossed (looking at my nose). Its not severe, but if you look at me, its obvious that I'm cross eyed.

I've been told surgery can fix this... but I was wondering if there are other options? Surgery is like a last resort thing for me.. I hate surgery. I'm serious about fixing this problem through... since my eye only started crossing 2 months ago I really don't remember I'm cross eyed until I see myself in the mirror and its always a downer :(

Hi there!
The crossed eye in medical term is called strabismus caused by imbalance eye muscle. Botox injection has been used to treat this condition as it helps to relax the muscle in your eyes, returning it back into it's normal position.

Why don't you ask a professional rather than asking this serious matter here. I hope your eye gets fix soon. Good luck!

surgery is prolly the only way to correct it. i had a girlfriend who had the same problem.it wasnt a problem for me at all.email me at johnspencerrock@yahoo.com and i can go into greater detail.and please dont let it be a downer for u.ok?

Yea I can relate to your problem I had a eye injury years ago when I was a 8 yr old kid , a piece of splintered wood snapped off and hit me square in the pupil , surgery was done to repair my eye but I never regained full sight and now my right eye sags to the right it really messes with me bad I can't look a person straight in the eye because I get stared at a lot, so when i pass some one I always look in the other direction as not to get attention ( I hate it )
