Eye & Cheek bone injury? |
On Friday i took a fall and cut the side of my eye. I went to the hospital and got it stitched up but they never examined my cheek. Below the side of my eye it is bruised, swollen and slightly numb so i was wondering if these may be signs that i have done something to the cheek bone itself and should seek medical help from my gp. Thanks Samantha, in tens of thousands of Paramedic calls, I have seen actual fractures to the 'cheek bone' (Zygomatic) only a few times. It requires a huge force to break those bones, by natures design. However, faces are capable of unbelievably huge swelling...and fast! I don't doubt your face is really swollen and all sorts of colors. Are you able to move your jaw without pain? Neck hurt? If not, give it a little time, I'm sure you will get better? * See your Md if yes to the above. |
