Diabetes - Injury on the left eye?

My mom has diabetes. She smashed her head to a glass today while going to a store. She has a tear up on the top of her left eye between the eye brows and the eye. I can see the scratch pretty clearly. Do you think I should worry about anything?

Is she is a pretty bad diabetic (taking insulin often)? Just help her to keep it clean and keep an eye on it. Diabetics do heal slower than others but I don't think you should worry about it. If it looks as though it is getting infected, see that she goes to her doctor right away. Good luck.....

I think that she should be seen...first of all with diabetes I know things can take longer to heal, and make even simple things harder to treat. Also eyes are something you dont mess with...they are hard to see the extent of the injury and exactly what is hurt.
