Persistent Pain Above and Behind Right Eye? |
Hi! Three weeks is too long to go without seeing a Dr. How can you hurt all that time and not make an appointment?? Get up right now and call one. Your sight is nothing to be messing around with. Go see a Dr. Some of the problems that can cause eye pain are: I would go and get it checked out. It could be due to many different things. The fact that it is so persistent is troubling. There may be something affecting a facial nerve, there could be an abnormal growth that is exerting pressure over the area, etc. The only way to know what it is for sure is to have a trained professional evaluate you. Speak to your doctor, I had a similar thing that was a blocked sinus cavity, but many other possible causes. I had this same symptom, but in both eyes...constant pain/pressure that drove me nuts. I ended up being diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation. I am not saying you have ACM (I had other symptoms too), I share because you really need to see a doctor about this. Any persistent pain that lasts 3 weeks really needs to be looked at because there are a million things that could be causing it. Most likely it is nothing serious, but until you see a doctor you won't know. Better safe than sorry. Good luck! |
