How do I get my eye doctor to understand what I need?? |
I have complicated eyesight due to a closed head injury that affects my eye coordination. You need to see an Opthamologist who may recommend invasive procedures to correct internal damage to your retina. Optometrists only prescribe external corrective lenses. Please see your regular family doctor for a referral. Good luck and God Bless You! if you tell them and they don't listen to you then they are not worth going back to but need to bug them to get the pair that you have correct and with the issues that you have going on you should start going to an ophthalmologist. I would explain to the doctor before they test your eyes. Also, I would inform them that the problem results in several trips to change prescriptions so you will pay them when they get it right. Tell the doctor that the glasses work well for you when they are held away from your eyes but do not give you the vision you need when they are at the correct distance from your eyes. |
