Almost hit in the right eye??

Almost got hit in the eye??Just sharing my terrifying moments with you guys. So me and my friend were playing outside one day outside of the school and I happen to pick up a broken cd, (i know i was being an idiot and could of hurt someone.) I threw it like a frisbie and luckly it did not hit anyone. My buddy picked it back and threw it behind me and it some how pass by the right side of my head just an inch apart, almost causing a serious injury. It could of scraped my right eye, who knows. Luckly i did not feel anything and ducked down like an idiot after it passed my face. I had terrifying thoughts after that day of being almost blind in the right eye cause of that broken disc my friend threw behind me. He did apollogize. Is this normal or is it just me thats being a paranoid about it?? I need to forget about it some how and get on with my life but it's hard to do with this moment stuck in my head. Please suggest things i can do to forget about it or share ur stories too THX ALOT

thanks guys i feel a lot more confident now and thanks for sharing your stories. I finally realize why i am feeling this way from reading all your comments, it's to prevent me from making the same mistakes again. Maybe i should tell my friend to leave everything on the ground next time before he starts picking it up and throwing it.

I was playing football in highschool and a shoulderpad went in to my facemask and nearly cut off my entire eyelid...it took ten stitches to put it back on...it is kind of a cool scar now...I got a cool looking eye...like I'm always squinting like Clint Eastwood.

wow

Hopefully you have learned not to ever do that again.

boring

I think it place enough fear to the thought of not doing something like that again....

u just had a terrifying moment since you got really freaked out, so since you got freaked you would'n stop remembering.

you do not forget bout it...u deal with it...It is called POST-TRAuMATIC SHOCK SYNDROME. just because you did not get hurt does not mean it was not traumatic. Bottom line is that only u can prevent forest fires. This will go away in time if you let it. if you dwell on it, it will consume you.

When you are younger you dont think about things like that. Somebody is always throwing something, people dont wear eye protection, you take your eyes for granted. Well up until 6 years ago, I was one of those people. I lost the sight in my left eye from a medical mishap. Now, I am totally paranoid if anybody throws something or does something stupid like that that could injure your eyes. It can be a scarry thing. You were lucky it didnt hit your eye. It sucks losing the use of an eye. You got sort of an awakening. Hopefully now, after your scare, you will think twice about doing something like that again.

Cheryl C i feel your story man, listen to cherly c hes right about you being lucky. Its a feeling that will prevent you from doing it again.
