I have constant reoccuring eye infections???? (PICS)?

every month or so I get a huge eye infection on the (top or bottom) eye lid of either eye. They last for up to a week and can be VERY painful, getting so big that I can not open my eye. I have to miss days of school because of it (I have missed up to a week because of it). Heres a pic: http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/1965/... This was at a point when I couldnt open my eye. Now, even when I DONT have an infection, there is always pus visible on my eyelids (little specs that are at the root of most of my eyelashes..

I have rosacea, which I think may be related to this; I believe I read about a relationship between rosacea and reoccuring eye infections. Rosacea is uncurable so I guess Im doomed. Antibiotics dont make a difference.

Can anyone please help??? Any idea why im getting it or how to get rid of it (I do hot water compresses)?

Does the pus at the eyelids mean anything? Is it connected to my rosacea?

Thanks alot for reading

Hi EWO

A product called Eyebright helped a friend of mine fix her eye issues within in a week. It stings a bit, but it cleans the eyes out. Ive used the product myself for cleansing out my eyes in general. It's at herbdoc.com. Im not promoting a product here Im giving you a real answer. Read about it there.

Dont let anyone tell you your body cant heal itself. If you can make yourself sick then you can make yourself healthy. Think about it. It will take some education (on your part) on nutrition, drinking plenty of water, cleansing toxins out of the blood, and learning to appreciate all you have in life (including your health).

You also need to be thinking about cleansing your system in general though. Do a colon and liver cleanse to help rid of the toxins in the blood. By doing regular colon cleanses your rosecea issue will be no longer. Learn about nutrition and drink a gallon of water a day! Do these 3 things every quarter and you wont have hardly any health issues in your lifetime. To be able to heal oneself is the greatest freedom we have. I just cant explain it.

Best of health to you

if you find anything out about what you have please let me know. I think i am getting that right now. it hurts so bad, i need to keep it closed to dull the pain. i dont have the puss though... but anyways please help me out! my mom thinks its due to my contacts, but i honestly dont think so... Ocular rosacea often accompanies facial rosacea and manifests as some combination of blepharoconjunctivitis, iritis, scleritis, and keratitis, causing itching, foreign body sensation, erythema, and edema of the eye
the best treatment of rosacea involves avoidance of triggers that include sun exposure, emotional stress, cold or hot weather, alcohol, spicy foods, exercise, wind, cosmetics, and hot baths or hot drinks and the use of sunscreen. Antibiotics may be used for inflammatory disease.
Try one of these for control of your symptoms.
