Will contacts cause eye infections/damage? |
I've always worn glasses, but I think contacts would be better. My parents won't let me because they think I will go blind wearing them. Is it true? Is it difficult managing contacts? your parents, dont get out much do they? Contacts are great. I wore them for years and loved the freedom from glasses. I agree with previous answer, follow instructions. My son wears contacts but when he first started he didn't take them out like he should have (at night), the problem with him is that the vessels in the eyes need air and if you don't take the contacts out they will come to the surface to try and get the air they need. When this happens it is damage that cannot be undone. That's what we were told. So you should be o.k. if you give your eyes a rest from the contacts let you vessels get the oxygen they need. i agree with luna. if you do everything right, contacts are not dangerous at all. I was 10 when I went into contacts...It wasn't too difficult...just had to get used to a routine (back then they didn't have extended wears, only dailies) to clean, put in, take out. |
