Eye infection? |
I developed a stye on my right eye on saturday that immediately swelled so big that I couldn't see very well. I missed school on monday and tuesday and went to the doctor late in the day on tuesday. He said that the infection has spread throughout my eyelid and said that if it keeps spreading it could get to my brain : /. He perscribed 2 antibiotics (a drop and a pill). He told me that I had to miss school today because it was still contagious and because he really wanted me to be religious about taking the medicine. In the last hour or so my eyelid has gotten even more swollen and my eye has started to hurt! Should I miss school again tomorrow just to make sure (and to take the medicine at the right times) or should i just go and not worry about it. Just to clear things up...I went to an ophthalmologist yesterday. Eye problems escalate quickly! By the time you call the doc in the morning you could lose that eye. Go to the ER NOW and demand an ophthalmologist. while that medicine is working externally take something externally: I would not go to school if I was you. Honestly, you need to go to the ER; the doctor obviously missed the boat on his prescription or you had an allergic reaction, either way, go to the ER. I just recovered from an eye infection, stye, eye shut, hurt, etc and I cleared it up with sterile saline solution that contact lens wearers use, and application of cotton balls dipped in hot water. You can also use PHARMACY Boric acid, dilute one part to three parts hot water, this is great but you HAVE to get the PHARMACY grade because there is another kind used to kill cockroaches. get a doctors note to stay out as long as it is still swollen.Im sure you should miss school , you still might be infectious to others. if its contagious then it mite be CONJUNCTIVITIS lots of people in my lessons are getting and are missing school too Just call the doctor! Don't rely on us to tell you...we don't know! kill urself i got 2 bad eyes here one that sees red and the other thats see blurry and togther close up red vision. if its a sty then rub it with a gold ring..... this works as somethign in the gold reacts with the sty and it goes really quick. It used to be said that sti's were caused from "peeing on unpaved roads" . . . While looking into bedroom windows . . . At night, of course. But it's actually a virus and has nothing to do with unclean eyeballs. The sti comes from within . . . Similar to "Pink Eye" . . . cover it with wet paper towel. |
