Which are the common eye diseases we should look out?

Are there any symptoms for them during our day to day visual activities? (instead of waiting for annual eye care examination which might be too late for good remedy)

depends on which age group you are talking about...
commany eye diseases in the elderly would be cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and hypertensive retinopathy... so if you have been a hypertensive or diabetic for more than 5 years an annual eye check is highly recomended...
the symptoms are non specific and can range from blurring of vision to photophobia in cataract...an examination on the eye is required to diagnose they above mentioned conditions..
retinal detachments are more comman in youger age groups if they are high myopes the symptoms include flashes of light...

cataract - blurred vision.

Glaucoma - headaches
Cataracts - hazy, blurred vision
Macular degeneration - trouble seeing directly in front of you, but peripheral vision is okay

I'm sure there are more symptoms to these diseases, but this is what I've heard.
