How can know if i have glaucoma, sudden eye blindness disease? |
HOW CAN YOU KNOW MORE FOR THAT EYE DISEASE? cleocat, they are using capital letters as they have an eye problem and it is easier for them to read the larger letters, they are not necessarily shouting. GO TO AN OPTICIAN.......WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING? Dont depend on our opinions. There are 2 dufferent types of glaucoma, one serious and the other not so, go and see an optician Go see an optician and they will perform a glaucoma test on you. They puff a bit of air onto your eyeball and if the lens goes in then you are clear. If it stays still because of the pressure behind the lens, then you probably have glaucoma. There's a really easy test that an optician will give you and if there is a problem, you'll be referred to a specialist doctor. You need to see a doctor. Glaucoma is increased pressure inside the eye. There are no symptoms, that is why it is very important to see an eye doctor. There are ophthalmologists who specialize only in this disease and will quickly determine if you have anything to watch. If glaucoma is not treated blindness occurs and it is irreversible. Treatment with diet is not possible, so there is no food group to either consume or avoid. If the pressure is high it can be treated with eye drops or surgery, depending on the cause of the glaucoma. My mother in law had her eyes checked recently because she was getting a lot of headaches, she was told that there was pressure building up. Sorry this is all i know. It is rude to shout! What sort of paranoia has convinced you that you might have glaucoma. following on from this non-diagnosis the rest of your question is hypochondriachal. Why not go to an optician, it will take 5 minutes to check your eye pressures and then you can find something else to worry about. I'm sorry I don't have the answer of your question..I think u need a doctor he is the only one can answer your question.hope you find him soon. actually an ophthalmologist is who u need to see. higher up in the eye field..they will diagnose and treat u..i was just diagnosed with narrow angle glaucoma (2 wks. ago ) and am scheduled for lazer surgery in 2 weeks. Went in because my eyes hurt and were red, and vision was blurry. my pressure was 16/ 17...yesterday when they said i need the surgery it was 20/21...good luck..MAKE AN APPT! make an appointment with specsave and they will check your eye presure and if anything abnormal pass you onto your doc |
