Eye disease?

Anyone have Keraconis? If so, any advice...?

Keratoconus is an eye condition where the front surface of your eye is curved forward into a more conical shape that round. It is usually diagnosed in the teens and progresses with age. It has also been found to be a heriditary condition, so watch out for it in your children.

If you have keratoconus you may experience blurry or distorted vision or glare (wear sunnies!). If your vision can not be corrected with glasses there are other options your eye specialist may recommend. Such include the wear of hard contact lenses which i have found a few keratoconics have been successful and happy with.
There have been the introduction of new surgical procedures like Intacs which I dont know much of. But a simple google search could tell you more about it than i could.

Unfortunately there are no procedures or medications cure the condition, but there are ways to prevent it from progressing faster:
- DONT rub your eyes!
- wear sunnies outside cos there has been found to be an association between keratonus and UV light

If you are looking for even more info, enwikipedis is the best!

Hope this helps. remember dont rub your eyes !

It's an eye disease, that takes up to 3mths...
Plz try to read/research about your diseases because it might be major...
