Swimming without eye google can cause eye disease?

Swimming without eye google can cause eye disease?

Swimming with your contacts is never recommended and I've answered this question at least 8 times now! LOL

Your contacts can wash out - first of all.

Secondly - there are loads of bacteria in the water. Acanthameoba is an organism that can attach itself to your cornea and cause a very difficult to treat infection that, in the most severe cases, can cause blindness. Just because a person swims all the time with their lenses in and never had a problem doesn't mean that they couldn't possibly contract it. It only takes one time...its a major gamble with your vision and one that I sure wouldn't want to take...

Get some googles...I mean goggles! LOL

I think not.

yes, the chlorine in the water destroys organic matter. i.e eyes

were the hell you got this from

What is an eye google? Do you mean goggles?

I got eye disease after scuba diving in my toilet for 38 days without goggles. I lost my goggles after the first 36 and 1/2 minutes but I was too lazy to go back and get them. So now I'm blind.

Never heard of any incidents but I do know a guy who went on vacation and swam in the beach every day without taking his contacts out for a week. He lost an eye due to infection.
