Do i have cancer of the eye?

hi.. ever since i was a small kid ( bout 5-7 years old) i would notice that sometimes, i would be able to see some thread like transparent things sort of drifting around, and now im 14 and was wondering if it could be eye cancer. my eyesight isd perfect and i do not experience difficulty in seeing, is it all in my mind or is it because of the lack of sleep as i have sleep apnea since i was a kid but i have jus went to see a doctor..help pls..thank you

Most likely, you are seeing what is called an eye 'floater'. These are specks/spots/strands or other shapes that 'float' around in the eyeball itself. They are little clumps of cells floating around in the fluid of your eyeball. Most people have them; they are harmless and not related to eye cancer. And tell your mom they aren't caused by too much Xbox, either.

Do you also have headaches? It could be something called aura.This is when you see things floating around.It could be clear,colored,spots and etc. I used to see something like this to beginning at the age of 5. It was colored dots back then as I got older it was clear thread like thing,and sometimes I saw dark spots.I started to have headaches sometimes.Once I had to miss a day out of school because of the headache had lasted a couple of days. As an adult, I was finally diagnosed with migraines with aura.The strange stuff that I saw were the warning of an upcoming headache.
