Not skin cancer, no. Skin cancer is just on your skin.

You can seriously damage your eye with UV and UB rays though. The lighter your eyes, the more need of sun protection you need.

I do not know about cancer, but you can go blind from beight lights....Every been flashed by a welder?? This is very painful because the flash is so bright, it will burn your eye.

Skin cancer means you get cancer of the skin, hence you cannot get cancer of the skin in the eye, you can get eye cancer but it isn't technically the same thing.

no however when skin cancer grows it can infiltrate into the eye socket and effect the eyes.

My father got skin cancer on his eye lid. After his doctor ignored his complaints about the problem for 7 years, he was in for something else and the doctor got all concerned because he recognized that it was fast growing skin cancer.

The specialist he was sent to said the cancer could spread from his eye lid to his eye. Of course the specialist also wanted to just cut off his entire eye lid and leave him blind from having no tear duct for that eye.

He's been treating it with a number of alternative methods for several years and nearly has it down to the size it was when his quack originally diagnosed it as a wart.

Actually, there is a form of melanoma that can originate in the eye called uveal melanoma. There are also a few other eye conditions caused by excessive UV radiation, so always wear protective sunglasses! :)

You won't get skin cancer in your eye (unless you are talking about the eye lid) . . but you can have melanoma of the eye. So, yes, you can get eye cancer. It is rare, but happens.
Adults can get intraocular cancer which can be either a melanoma (related to skin cancer) or lymphoma. Children can have a cancer called retinoblastoma, that starts in the retina.

Eye cancer can be primary (starts in the eye) or secondary (cancer spreads from another area).
