In week 3 out of 6 of radiation for breast cancer, can it cause my eyebrows & eye lashes to thin, fall out?

If so, no one told me this was a side affect. My hair is growing back from chemo so why isn't that affected or will it be also?

I lost eyelashes and eyebrows from chemotherapy not radiation but they grew back. I do have permanent hair loss in the area radiated (breast and armpit).

unfortunatly that is one of the main side affects of radiationespecially. My mom had breast cancer and lost alot of head hair my friend had cervical cancer and lost all of her pubic hair but ir grew back. My mom has had so many complications nothing has been right since her cancer. It depends how old you are and what amount of radiation you get. there are different strnghts of this and different types.

Losing hair can be a side effect of radiation, but usually only in the area affected. Radiation in general attacks quickly growing cells and kills them. Not sure what is going on with your eyebrows and lashes but the loss does seem consistent with the fact you are undergoing radiation therapy. You should ask the radiologist.
