Eye problem?

Lately my vision hasnt been the best. Ican still see but Its harder to focus to on things like when your tired and watching tv at night. Could this be serious like cancer in the eyes or brain. im worrying myself bigtime. im 15 so i will driving soon and i dont know what i should do. got my own computer a few months ago and sit on it all the time. i also watch many hours of t.v. each night. my ma always said i would need glasses if i sit too close to the t.v. is that what i need? i kind of have a dizzy feeling sometimes too

my last exam was 2 1/2 years ago.i had them dialated and everything. i had this wierd lump under my eyelid and he gave some drops and told me to put a hot washcloth on it every day. it went away and he said if it ever comes back just do that which it hasnt.

uhh...yea. it isn't very good to sit too close to anything. one question, do you have any other lights on when you are on the computer and watching TV? if your answer is no, well....start. i do not think it is cancer, just bad habits, and GET GLASSES if you are going to drive!!!! don't watch as much TV and you should be fine with glasses.

It is called astigmatism. Basically your focus changes depending on the activity that the eye endures. All that TV stresses out the eye.

But rather than stress out over what it may be, go to an eye doctor, and have it checked out.

You'll probably just need glasses. Sometimes, mothers can be right.

A few things you need to consider.... when was your last eye exam? Wearing glasses with a prescription that isn't strong enough can put stress on your eyes. It is very common as you are growing for your eyesight to change as well and during this period of time you will need more frequent eye exams to keep up with the changes. Also watching TV/staring at a computer screen for long periods of time puts lots of strain on your eyes. This can cause your eyes to be dry, red, tired and trouble focusing. To avoid this take a break when on the computer/ watching TV before your eyes get strained.

Stop worrying yourself....what is happening to you is completely normal!!

The best thing to do is to get your eyes tested.... and if anything is wrong with your eyes the doctor will be able to detect it during the exam. :)
