Pink eye??

have pink eye right now so thats why i'm asking this question!

If someone gets pink eye atleast once a month for a year and a half now don't you think she should have it checked for something more serious, like cancer or tumors? I mean it started with my right eye, but the last two times i got it in my left eye too! My doctor just looks at my eye and prescribes me medicine! I have been doing research and want to get tested for something more serious, but my mom thinks the doctor is a saint...what should i do?

If you had tumors or cancer,the symptoms would be much worse than what you have now.Perhaps you should try to figure out what is causing the pink eye,or where you're catching it-it is verrrry contagious.It would seem prudent to ask the doctor what antibiotics he is giving you,to make sure the bacteria causing the problem is not becoming immune to treatment.I'm sure you've heard this plenty,but it is very true---if you will wash your hands WELL and OFTEN,and STOP touching or rubbing your eyes,your incidence of pink eye will drastically decrease!Good luck-
