My Shampoo is linked to cancer!?

my school had Human Growth and Devlpoment last week just for girls. And the guest speaker talked about the usually things but she also told us about cosmeticdatabase.com which is a site that tells u all this info about makeup, shampoo, deoderant, eye care etc. The site really tells u if the product is dangerous or not. Well i checked Head&Shoulders shampoo because i occasionally get a little bit of dandruff because i inheirted it from my dad but my dandruff isnt noticeable and neither is my dads but we use Head&Shoulders anyway. When i checked it, it said that the shampoo is linked to cancer and effects ur organ system and immune system. I Dont get sick often, maybe i get a cold about once a year maybe less. BUt what scares me is that its linked to cancer and can effect ur organs. Im scared but i think Head&Shoulders is a great shampoo so i really dont want to stop using it. What do u think i should do and dont just say stop using it but add other things. Any help is greatly appreciated

and it was rated as moderately hazard

yeah ive been to that site before. basically everything is linked to cancer on there. so i doubt your going to find a product that is completely safe. wat u should really look at is the hazard rating. if it has a high hazard rating then you should avoid it. if its low then you will probably be able to continue using it as normal

I doubt you have anything to really worry about. If there was a real problem associated with your shampoo, I'm sure there would be a recall. The possible link between your shampoo and cancer is probably very rare, so it seems like it would be unlikely to "give" you cancer. In the meantime, I suggest continuing to use the shampoo as normal, but if you find yourself not feeling right or sick or something, stop using the shampoo and see your doctor ASAP.

wow, this is shocking. Well, if there is evidence that this shampoo causes cancer, then you would be foolish to continue using it. maybe go to a dermotologist and see what other shampoos they could suggest. Or, start looking at other dandruff shampoos on the market the next time you're at the store. compare their ingredients with that of Head and shoulders and find out waht is the cancer-causing ingredient and avoid it.
however, you did mention that your dandruff wasn't bad so do you really think that you need to use dandruff shampoo? most of us get dandruff from time to time and use regular shampoos. maybe try using sometihng regular before even searching for another dandruff shampoo...just look for ingredients in normal shampoos and make sure there is not any alcohol in the shampoo as this is a drying agent.
i would like to comment on the post above me: if you know there is a possibility to avoid cancer, you should do it. especially if tests and studys back you up as evidence. wouldnt you feel better safe than sorry? also, if ou are starting to feel sick? if you are developing cancer, you will not feel sick immediately and stopping using the shampoo will not reverse any cancer you may have gotten. if you can avoid it, you're foolish not to.
I hope this helps!
