Does anybody know about Primerin and it's link to Breast Cancer?

My Mom was taking Primerin and stopped for a while because she went in to have a mammogram and it showed small white dots on her breast. The docs said that they were going to keep a very very close eye on that. Recently she has started taking it again and it scares the crap outta me. I am a caregiver for a woman who had breast cancer as a result of the Primerin. She had no history of anything like that in her family before. Is there anybody that can give me more info on Primerin or does anybody know someone that has taken it and ended up with Breast cancer as a result? Also does anybody know good alternatives to Primerin especially for people who have huge cancer background in thier family?

My mother was put on Premarin after her hysterectomy. After about 10 years, studies started coming out about the connection with being on Premarin and getting breast cancer later on. My mother died in December of 2007 of breast cancer and I have Premarin to thank for that. The doctor said that her type of breast cancer was not genetic so that's good for me. Alternatives, don't take any kind of hormones, the body will adjust to being without them.
