Help--what is this with my left eye?!!!??!!?

My left eye has had this extra small thin roll of skin just at the top of the eyelid for a couple months now. There is a dry redness underneath the eye as well. Not very red but pinkish red. Also, both eyes have a dryness (small white flakes) around them which I can't seem to have go away. At work, I have to go into the bathroom to rinse my eyes and get it off or else I look like I didn't wash my face. Doing this has decreased the dryness a little overall but it still shows up. Also, I have a slight tension in the left temple. Do I have cancer???

I also have some TMJ with my mouth for about 8 yrs. which I think may be causing the tension in my temple. I am 25 yrs. old.

You should ready get to the doctor i would not mess around with my eyes if i were you. You could just have an infection and you may need treatment.

Make an appt with a dr. He/she could answer this question. Very few of us have gone through medical school.

you need to see a doctor, you will need your eyesight for a long long time.

Sounds like you might have a case of Blepharitis... See am eye doctor. (NOT an Optomitrist.) If that is the case, you should gently rub Johnsons baby shampoo on your eyelids twice a day, and wipe off with a very warm cloth. Keep a very warm cloth on your eyes for about 5 minutes after.

Word! This is someting you should go to the doctor for, or at least be looking at Webmd, not yahoo!

My mom has these extra patches of skin or something around her eyes, but the doctor says they are fatty deposits from too much cholestorol. Her eyes dont experience skin dryness tho, so Id seriously just go to a doctor. I know doctors are scary, but you can do it!

It's really early in the morning in most of the U.S. and Canada. You would probably be better off posting your question in a few hours when there will be more users online.
