Estrogen replacement therapy...does it work?? I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and I can tell you that it is like all other medications MAN MADE and it's been known to cause breast and uterine cancer, I was on HRT and ended up with painfull muscular spasms in my arm and chest. Leave it alone. Estrogen Therapy is good only if you don't smoke or have a history of breast cancer in the family. If you have diabetes, don't take estrogen...smoking and diabetes can heighten the chance of heart attack or heart disease. Estrogen can make chances for breast cancer higher if there is a history in your family. But other than that yes H.R.T. is good. It helps hot flashes and night sweats and osteoporosis. |
