Is it true that oral sex can leads to cancer?

I found this articles on the newspaper and seems like it's ain't a lie. A person can contract esophageal cancer or throat cancer. Sounds serious to me....

i have never heard of such a thing

not true but you can catch std's

I doubt the risk is any higher than with any other kind of cancer from any other kind of activity

My wife doesn't have cancer yet, so it must be a rumor.

Well, it doesn't cause the cancer. No one's sure exactly what causes the cancer, but women who participate regularly in oral sex are a lot more likely to get esophageal cancer. I don't recall exactly what the figure was, but, yes, it's true.

And here's the figure... 250 percent more likely...
This is relatively new, so there's not much info on it...

And to pasha I say that only one in ten thousand get that virus orally, but it's more often from smoking or drinking, and doctors don't recommend any change in habits as far as concern for the virus goes.

No, that sounds like rubbish. But, as the person above said, you can catch other things (from your partner, if they have them....)

Guess I'm in trouble then. My fiance is going to be disappointed.

You can't believe everything written in a newspaper.... and it seems just about everything causes cancer. Oh well, I think I will risk it .. just a few more times. (per week).

Yup I was right....

i dont think so, maybe sexually transmitted deseases

No way. But be careful of STD矛s and stuff like that.

the articles hes talking about are article regarding sexual/genital hpv virus strains of which there are about 35(note there are 100 hpv virus strains, which affect the body. verrucas, face warts are hpv strains).

if the man has sexual/genital hpv's on his penis, and his partner sucks his penis. There is a risk that the hpv can cause throat cancer, which is interesting and shows that hpv's can infect other parts of the body.

"After controlling for other risk factors for throat cancer, such as drinking and smoking, the analysis revealed that people who had prior infection with HPV were 32 times as likely to have this cancer as those with no evidence of ever having the virus. And those who tested positive for a particularly aggressive strain of the virus, called HPV-16, were 58 times more likely to have throat cancer."

According to the latest medical reports,it states that oral sex can cause throat cancer risk to be higher .

Although I've read the article and can see a certain logic in it,it would seem these days that everything increases your risk of cancer (eating the wrong food, smoking, etc, etc, etc), so I come to the conclusion that no one really knows what exactly does or doesn't cause cancer.

As for the statistics, like Winston Churchill said: "There's fact, there's fiction and then there's statistics" Statistics is by nature open to interpretation, so I think it would be up to the individual to consider whether or not the article's claims is plausible or not

Better not tell my old man then! This is the best form of forplay.....and so enjoyable !!!!!!!!!!
