ERGONOMICS When you are sitting at the computer for long periods of time...?

Is the keyboard and mouse supposed to be at stomach level? chest level?

What about the screen? Higher than eyes? Lower than eyes.

The middle of the screen should be eye level. Your keyboard should be so your arms are 90 degree angle. You should ask around at your work if they have someone to check the ergonomics. They will take measurements & have everything situated where it should be.

Correct ergonomic posture:

Sit with your feet flat on the floor, knees at a 90 degree angle. Position your monitor so that the center of the screen is at eye level. It should be about an arms length away from your body.

The keyboard and mouse should be situated at a level in which your shoulders/arms hang freely. If you have to raise your shoulders you risk neck and back pain.
