Glandular fever / estein barr virus?

My health has never been the same since I contracted epstein barr virus 22yrs ago. I have a good diet and exercise but if I go through a stressful period or over exert myself the chronic sore throat returns with aches and pains and chronic fatigue. Has anyone been through this and conquered it? It gets so debilitating and depressing at times .

It sounds like chronic fatigue syndrome to me.I have had it for over 20 years and I get those same symptoms. It's horrible and depressing, especially when people don't believe you're sick because you don't look sick-so it must be in your head.I don't know what to tell you except to try to learn to live with it.I find that eating more fruits and vegetables, taking a multi-vitamin,and getting all the sleep you can helps during a bad spell. When you're feeling better, try to get some exercise, but don't overdo it or you will feel terrible the next day.I always know when I've done too much-my lips turn bright red and I get a sore throat and brain fog.

Thanks for the points! I really hope you(and I) can feel normal again someday soon. It's terrible to feel sick all the time.Bless you and hope you're having a good day. Report It
