I Have Epilepsy But i Dont Understand What Happens
I Know I Hv seziors ....

* but dosent your bran controll your body
and when it happens
* i hear noises n see stuff others carnt

Plz Help Ty xxxx

& & i have seziors offten but
i dont want to take medicicen 4 it as you have to take it EVREYDAY !

some people who suffer seizures may hear or see things that others do not. this is not necessarily a hallucination and can be a result of your bodies increased awareness and senses during the seizure. its similar to how a blind man can hear and smell better than those who can see. as much as you don't want to take medication every day you may have to. try crushing it in large amounts of food if taking pills is a problem

my brother had a seizure once

i was at work but my mum said we thought he was faking it until he didnt reply

your brain controls your body most of the time but i think what happens is your brain doesnt control the parts of the body it should be

i dont kno if i was correct

My mom has epilepsy. She got hit on the head when she was a girl and that's what caused it. I dont know exactly how it happens but it could be caused by brainwaves getting blocked, or as my mom calls it "short circuts". She has what is called grand mal seizures.

It is a difficult for the people as they loose control and balance and if it happens in public place accidents will happens then it is dangerous.

As you are getting some signs before happening you have to move to a safe place quickly and rest.

I understand now there are modern medicines in allopathy, you have to consult a good doctor.

Have you had an EEG and are you on anti seizure meds? If you have questions about epilepsy, you really need to talk to your neurologists- there are various types of seizures and some people only have one, some people have 2-3 different kinds.

Your brain controls your body, but things can have effects on your brain.

It's when your brain is bombarded with different stimuli, eg lights and sounds, and due to a chemical imbalance or neurological disorder you can't co-ordinate a proper responce to handle the overload, so your brain seizeres. It fires out (via active transport) sodium and potasium ions across the synapses, at random intervals, this causing the shock. Because "all" parts of your brain are activated, you can hear or see things from a memory, that can present themselves blurred because you cant actually focus on them. When you experience things other people cant hear etc. its your memory and imagination coming together in your unconsious mind (like a dream, kinda)

When it happens get low, and try to minimise the risk of being near sharp objects.

Hi :)
Ive had epilepsy for a year now. I know how it feels, you cant control yourself, i shake uncontrably, twitch, unattentive, for hours on end. Ive gone through hours and hours of EEG and tests. I have an amazing doctor. I have to go to a specialist though an hour away from my house. Epilepsy means that your brain waves have an unusual pattern, it throws your body off and causes you to have weird reactions, my type is a horrible type. You really need to go to a doctor if your serious about you having epilepsy. I take Keppra for my condition. Its not that bad. It makes me moody, tired, sick, bad headaches, and its annoying to have to take so much meds, but its a lot better than haveing a lot of seizures. Trust me, i would know
